Delete your Recaptr account
Recaptr lets you delete your account and all the photos, projects, and timelapses tied to it. The fastest way is from inside the app.
From the app
- Open Recaptr and sign in.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type
deleteto confirm.
The deletion runs immediately. Every photo, project, and timelapse is permanently removed and your account is signed out on every device.
If you can't access the app
Email contact@recaptr.com from the address you used to sign up. We delete the account within 30 days of receiving the request and reply when it is done.
Delete individual photos or projects
You do not have to delete your whole account. Inside the app you can permanently delete a single photo, or an entire project and its timelapse, while keeping your account. Open the capture or the project and tap delete.
What is deleted and what is kept
Deleting your account permanently removes all of your data: your photos, projects, timelapses, and your sign-in record. We keep none of it. In-app deletion takes effect immediately; requests sent by email are completed within 30 days, and nothing is retained after that.
Download a copy first
If you want a copy of your photos and project data before deleting, open Recaptr, go to Profile, and tap Download my data. You choose a folder on your device, and Recaptr saves every photo into it, organized by project, alongside a manifest.json file listing your projects and captures. This includes captures you marked as excluded from a timelapse.
